New light source – 1943 Dutch Guilder photos

Still using these basic settings with ISO 100, no change there but I’ve finally got around to replacing the halogen with an led spot (6500K)…

That single source is sufficient even on its own for a lot of coins, …but sometimes it might be worth throwing more light on the situation (!) and so I use a background source of 6000K as well as the spot – these photos are the result on a ’40s guilder without much wear, – I’m trying to figure out which coins are worth the extra stuffing around…

Anyway, the coin in the photos was minted in the US for the Dutch to use in Indonesia! Apparently the US minted a lot of other countries’ coins during WWII.

Happy Collecting!
