Diving into the Canadian Goose Dollar

Canada QEII 1967 ‘Goose’ Dollar KM# 70

It turns out that there was die rotation during the production of the Canadian Goose Silver Dollar and one of the resulting varieties that commands a premium is the so-called ‘Diving Goose at 45º’.

If you have two coins, one standard – then the other side of the diving goose coin shows the goose design heading for the bottom left corner, or, the Queen’s head tilted back.

I’m lucky enough to be able to show a slight diving goose, nowhere near 45º – but enough to show what to look for…it’s pretty exciting for me and you can see in the pictures that they are all fantastic coins – lovely!

Happy collecting!
